Judith Colell (1968) is a Catalan film director, screenwriter, and producer. She studied Art History at the University of Barcelona and earned a Certificate in Film from New York University before completing doctoral studies in Communication. Her first feature film, “Nosotras” (2000), won the Butaca Prize for Best Catalan Film and was screened at the Sitges Film Festival. She later directed “53 días de invierno” (2006) and “Elisa K” (2010, co-directed with Jordi Cadena), which received the Jury’s Special Award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and a Goya nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. She serves as President of the Catalan Film Academy since 2021.
