Vladan Nikolic is an award-winning filmmaker and producer, making his films at the unusual intersection of US independent and East-European cinema. He has written, directed and produced feature films, documentaries and immersive multi-platform media projects. He was among the digital filmmaking pioneers in the 1990s. His feature film, “Love” (2005) premiered at the Venice and Tribeca film festivals to critical acclaim and won awards at several international film festivals, including the Best Director Award at the Tiburon International Film Festival. In 2010 he produced and directed one of the first transmedia films “Zenith”. He is also a professor of media studies and filmmaking at a university in New York and has led numerous workshops and seminars around the world.
