In a world of shadows, an assassin becomes the prey in a twisted game of revenge and betrayal.
In “Death Will Come”, icy, steely professional killer Tez is hired by legendary Brussels crime boss Charles Mahr to avenge the murder of one of his couriers. But the city’s underworld is a tangled web, and Tez soon finds herself caught in its sticky strands and shifting sands, shadowed and chased by the very people who contracted her. As she delves deeper into this criminal underbelly, Tez must decide which side to trust, if any, as each move unearths hidden motives and lurking dangers.
Bolstered by Sophie Verbeeck’s intense, layered performance as a haunted hunter, this stylish, gripping noir thriller moves deftly between dark, suspenseful and high-octane, unravelling a tale of betrayal and loyalty, where fate and survival hang by a fragile thread and alliances come always at a cost.

Christoph Hochhäusler (1972) was born in Munich, Germany. He is a director and writer. His first feature debut "Milchwald" premiered at Berlin Film Festival in 2003. Both of his films “I Am Guilty” (2005) and “The City Below” (2010) were screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival (in 2005 and 2010 respectively). At the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, his 2023 film “Till the End of the Night” was nominated for the Berlinale’s Golden Bear. He is the founder and co-editor of the film magazine “Revolver” and was Senior Lecturer Directing at the German Film and Television Academy, Berlin (DFFB) from 2017 to 2021.
