TV Beats: Raza Brava

Growing up in 1980s Chile taught me to observe the world beyond prejudice and conventional narratives. I became fascinated by working-class communities and the spaces where people find identity, support, and belonging.
Raza Brava was born from that perspective. Rather than judging or romanticizing football supporters' culture, the series explores its deeply human and social dimension. Through football and the stadium stands, we portray the transformations of Chilean working-class neighborhoods from the dictatorship onward.
At its heart, Raza Brava is about young people who find in a supporters' group a family, a refuge, and a sense of identity. Through friendship, loyalty, power and betrayal, the series tells a deeply local story that speaks to a universal need: the search for belonging.

Stsenarist's note
Writing Raza Brava meant exploring the contradictions of characters who are neither heroes nor villains, but individuals driven by their desires, fears, and personal convictions.
Our approach was to build a character-driven drama in which every decision carries consequences, and where the boundaries between loyalty and betrayal, friendship and rivalry, become increasingly blurred.
Rather than offering simple answers or moral judgments, we wanted to create a narrative that allows audiences to understand the motivations behind each character, even when their actions are difficult to justify.
For us, the dramatic strength of Raza Brava lies in these contradictions and in the tension between individual aspirations and the collective world to which the characters belong.

Produtsent's note
We believe in producing stories that combine a strong creative vision with the ability to connect with audiences beyond their place of origin. Our work focuses on building the production structures that allow ambitious projects to grow, bringing together creative teams, partners and resources while protecting the identity of each story.
Raza Brava represents that vision. From Chile, we have developed a series with international ambition, combining a distinctive narrative universe with themes such as friendship, loyalty, identity, power and belonging. As executive producers, our role has been to accompany the project throughout its production, completion and international journey, helping build the partnerships and strategies that can take the series to new audiences and territories.
