Synopsis

Teenage Paul lives with his mother at a mental institution, where she works as a psychologist. His interest is sparked by Gloria, an outpatient at the facility, with whom he forms a close bond despite being forbidden to speak with her. A violent incident culminates in the two young adults fleeing into the surrounding wilderness of the Ardennes, where they will learn to survive on their own terms.

Featuring stellar performances from upcoming talents Thomas Gioria (“Custody”) and Fantine Harduin (“Happy Ending”), Fabrice du Welz’s sixth feature is a sensual, evocative portrait of the galvanizing if not reckless abandon of young love.
