Synopsis

Workaholic and curious L. Pakalnina goes for a special journey, which seems almost like sci-fi. Throwaway plastics will be forbidden to use in European Union countries to minimise mountains of garbage. Strangely amazing to learn, how many people of diverse professions are employed by factories, logistics agencies, shops to produce and distribute such simple plastic spoon, which is broken or disposable after a single use. Director secretly visits various locations in Europe and Asia to follow, how incredibly complex process really works.
Shot in long static scenes wordless odyssey provokes cautionary awareness. Laila can’t run away from favourable black humour, which helps to reveal true intentions of observational documentary. What will happen to our world of machinery and technologies, when consuming society will be forced to change habits?
