In nostalgic coming back home drama a curious teenager Kovas visits Lithuania for the first time immediately after collapse of the Soviet Union with a caring mother Viktorija. She was born here and remembers dreamy lands like in beautiful fairy tales. However bureaucracy, corruption, selfishness, envy, bribery still rule in a unrecognisable country. Viktorija hopes to reclaim her family house, but it won’t be easy. While observing mother’s journey Kovas will learn important lessons.
T. Vengris worked as assistant editor for several recent T. Malick’s films and edited Macon Blair's drama “I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore” (Grand Jury Prize of the Sundance in 2017) before jumping to direct longly matured authentic debut film, based on his memories, reminiscences and fantasies from returns to a second home.
